wear the hospital gowns because of your IV " s witch was not to bad cause they had

some that were oversized for gastric bypass patients.. so don't waste your time

on gowns and that sorrta thing.. hope this helps

I know when I was in the hospital for a C Section.. I had some

pretty gowns and matching robes..

Never took them out of my bag.

I was such a mess I didn't want to get them dirty... and the IV

thingie.

Non Skid Slippers were a must for me!

Peace

REading material...crossword puzzles...music(cd player)...phone

numbers of friends...stationary...for me I had " open " surgery so I

was in the hospital for four days and could not for the life of me

sleep while on Morphine, so in between walking(which I did a lot of)

I was bored out of my mind...I could put on my headphones and do a

crossword puzzle...TV gets old really fast...good luck!

I stayed 7 days, but that was because I developed pneumonia on the 2nd day.

Does anyone know what the average hospital stay is if

the surgery is done laproscopically??

I keep hearing hugely varying numbers from 2 days to 15!!

My doc would have let me go home the day after surgery if I had felt up

to it. I had surgery on Friday and went home Sunday.

I stayed two days, but I know someone else who stayed 24-hours. Each person is

different. Mine wasdone on a Friday so they may not have been in that big of a

hurry....the one requorement was that I couldn't go home till I had a bowel

movement.

2 days is definitely the norm. 15 days means there was some kind of

complication. Or someone was pulling your leg.

Three nights (four days) is the norm at Baptist Hospital in Miami. I stayed

two more days due to some complications.
