Guest guest
I understand how you feel - I was more worried about hair loss than just about anything else lol Ive never come across anyone who has gone completely bald. I am almost 6 months post op and I started losing hair a couple of months ago. It seems like I am losing a lot, but when you look at me, it isnt noticable - my hair isnt really thin and I dont have any bald spots or anything like that, and the loss is already slowing down. I had a terrible first four months - I had a stricture and went for four months barely able to eat anythng at all, so I didnt even come close to my protein goal. Hopefully Ive lost about as much hair as I am going to and if so, I consider myself lucky since I had such lousy nutrition in the first months. ~ami~ LAP RNY 5-13-03 with stricture repair 9-9-03 261/192.5/130 In a message dated 11/3/2003 11:43:11 AM Central Standard Time, funurse@... writes: > haven't even been approved for the surgery yet, but I am really > concerned about the hair loss. Guest guest
I haven't even been approved for the surgery yet, but I am really concerned about the hair loss. I have heard of women going almost completely bald and some who have had minimal loss. I would really like to know what happens to the majority. I know a lot of it depends on the appropriate amount of protein. What kind of protein are people using? I bought a few protein bars to try, but they were all very disgusting. I want to get more than enough protein so I won't lose my hair, or if so, the least amount possible. Can anyone help me with any information??? I would really appreciate it.
