Guest guest
, all the different opinions of what we should eat are very confusing. I try to stick as close as possible to what the dietician and surgeon's office says, because if I have a problem that's where I can go to (besides on here). If I really feel they're wrong about some part of it, I feel free to say so, and ask questions as to why. My dietician & weight clinic use my surgeon's info for diet, yet I found differences between the 2. I asked the clinic why, and they said the list was 2 years old, and maybe they should update it. DUH??? So apparently 2 years ago the surgeon was more stringent about the diet than now. These 3 surgeons have taken data from their 3500+ patients to find out what works best. Just as all doctor's are different, so are their ideas of food intake. At your stage, it sounds like you're really sticking with a good diet. Here's the link to Yahoo's Gastric Bypass pouch rules: http://www.gastricbypassfamily.com/PouchRules.html Yep, it is confusing, but I'm ultimately going to find out what works best for me and stick to it. I don't think a uniform idea as to how and what to eat would work at this point, because it appears they all have a different idea of what that is.
