Ok I am 3 weeks post op and I have lost 26 lbs (according to the

doctors scale). Now I have been at a stand still for a week now. Has

anyone else noticed this problem. Is this one of the many Weight Loss

Plateaus?

Yes, I did the same thing at about the same time. I believe it's

our bodies adjusting. As long as you are getting your protein and

drinking enough water you'll start dropping pounds again. Hang in

there. TJ

I am having the same problem. I'm also 3 weeks out and lost 25 and

my plateau has been for 1 week too. It's really ticking me off. I

get weighed this Thursday and I'll ask whats going on.

Same thing for me at the 3-week post-op mark. Had lost 18.7 pounds by

my surgeon's scale (25 on mine), then stalled for 2 weeks; overnight

dropped 5 lbs on my scale. That's been the " norm " for me ever since.

I'll drop to the next 5lb mark, stay steady for 10-14 days, then

start fluctuating down 1-3 lbs for a couple of days, before dropping

to the next 5 lb mark!

I'm almost 12 weeks out and have lost 45 lbs (and 4 dress sizes)! My

PCP says that she's happy with my rate, as I'm less likely to

develop, the sagging, excessing skin folds...

Good luck!

This is really funny--i, also, am about 3 1/2 weeks post op and have lost

about 25lbs.-30 lbs. (not sure exactly, as i was weighed the day before

surgery then pigged out that night as a last " harrah " , and wasn't weighed

again, also, my scale isn't that accurate). But i was frustrated that i was

at 246lbs. for about 3 or 4 days, now today i am about 243. So i think its

just a normal plateau having to do with your body getting used to the menu

we're on now.

Alison, I spent every other month on a plateau. I don't think you need

to worry. At 7months out, I'm down 80+lbs and only about 25 - 30lbs

from goal.
