The main symptom the surgeon told me was hurting in your chest like you were about to have a heart attach. I suffer with this for 15 yrs. You may want to go back to your surgeon or go to a specialist and have them to check this out....It may very well be your gallbladder....on the up side it is done out patient,LAP and you are only in the hospital a 1/2 day. Hope this helped a little Irvington AL 220/preop/120? still waiting I had horrible pain the right side also. It would make me scream it was so bad. I also found out through an endoscopy that I had stones all in my gallbladder and one was blocking the opening and it couldn't drain. Thank goodness I had mine removed with my lap-rny and didn't have to have a second surgery. I had an excellent doctor. Wolfie Leeds, Alabama Lap RNY August 27,2003 Dr. Lee A. Guest guest
Hey I went to the ER on many occasions and had numerous ultrasounds and lab work and they never found athing....just sent me home on pain meds. I went to a surgeon who done a Hydoscan(which is when they do the dye test and take multiple exrays) thats how they found mine. My gallbladder was scared(which is when it swells your intestinse stick to it) and it had sand in it. PLease dont wait...even if you do have to go to the ER.... But this can be very serious if there is infection or stones...or even scaring....Get it checked out as soon as possible...
Guest guest
My doctor's office is scheduling an ultrasound ( I don't know what type) for me sometime soon. I can't get to my surgeon's office because I'm 2 1/2 hours away but I will be going somewhere closer. If it turns out it is my gallbladder, the surgeon said that I can come down for outpatient surgery one of the days I have off from school. I hope it happens soon!!! It really hurts! even worse than natural childbirth! T. Lap RNY 6/20/03 432/336/170 Houston, Dr. Adam Naaman
