Guest guest
, I had LAP and was driving in 6 days after surgery. Do you know if you will have Lap or open? You will probably have lap. One and a half weeks after surgery I could hardly even tell that I had surgery. The biggest problem that I had was leaning over to pick something up. Good luck, and I'm glad you said you had not told your Mom because if I had run into her I know I would have said something, lol. A. B. LAP RNY 3/22/03 Dr. Steve Weinstein, MD. Guest guest
HEy , Yes I will be having Lap;If I ever get a date...lol I had lap last yr for gallbladder removal and was driving in about a week. I know this is much more but I was wondering how long it took most people to recover and drive. I would rather have lap that open. Lap is so much easier to recover from. AND......DONT TELL MOM YET....LOL Irvington AL 220/preop/120? STILL WAITING
Guest guest
I asked my doctor and he said " As soon as you feel up to it and are not taking pain medication " . For me that was 3 weeks. But I bet you could do it sooner. Candi driving after surgury Hi, I have a question? How long was it before you could drive again after having surgury? I have 3 children all in school. Guest guest
This is something I hadn't even asked the doctor yet, but will definately put it on my list of questions. The only surgeries I've ever had were c-sections and I know with those I was told not to drive for 4-6 weeks. ~Ttanja
