Guest guest
Well I had my appointment with my PCM and I talked to him as well about my strength/energy problem. He said the same thing my surgeon did basically. That I had just had major surgery and that it could be a couple more weeks before I felt myself again. I asked him to do an iron count and he said ok but that he was sure that was not the problem. He said he could tell by the rosy glow of my cheeks that I was not anemic. He also said he would do a thyroid check but he didn't think there would be anything wrong there either. HE gave me a perspective that seems obvious but I never really looked at it like that. I am only taking in 6-700 calories per day and almost none of those are carbs. He said that was not enough to sustain someone of my size (weight). He said that if someone who was within their weight guideline was taking in that few calories they would not have their normal amount of strength/energy either. He told me that energy has to come from somewhere. So I chewed on that as I drove home and I thought about what would my husband/son be like if they were on so few calories. I doubt they could even get out of bed. So I have decided to just accept that it is going to take a few weeks more maybe for me to feel better and appreciate the things that are already better. By the way...thanks you Wolfie for your concern. I really appreciated your e-mails. Candi --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
