Guest guest Posted October 17, 2003 Report Share Posted October 17, 2003 Well I saw my family doctor today and she is going to make a referral to my insurance company for me to see a Bariatric Surgeon. She said there is one group in particular that my insurance company uses and she gave me a little detail about what will happen the first time I go to see them (that is if the insurance company OK's it. In the meantime I have to go back next week to have fasting blood work. She told me it will take about 7-10 days to hear from the insurance company once she submits the referral so I guess I just have to wait and see what happens! I'm excited, nervous and scared to death but then again I'm sure everyone whose been through this process has felt the same way at one time or another. I'll keep you all posted on what's happening!!
