Dear Sweet Lori Anne,

Your surgery was August 25, right? I remember feeling as you do back when I

was less than three months out. I can promise you that it will all change.

As you get further from your surgery, you will be able to know instinctively

what is okay to eat and what is not okay and it will not be so much of a

focus then as it is now. Also, the tastes of food will be better again and

your variety will increase.

Part of the problem is that once we start losing weight on a regular basis

and things normalize again, (I should speak for myself, so I'm switching

tenses here) I forget what it was like all that time ago. I am now able to

go anywhere and eat anything (yes, it's limited in quantity) at all. The

other night I went to TGIFridays and had a few bites of potato skins (I love

the melted cheese and bacon combo) and some of a blooming onion. Prior to

surgery, I'd eat the whole plate of skins and the whole onion myself (G-d

help you if you tried to share with me... hahahaha). I'm now satisfied that

I can even have it at all. I'm able to eat anything I want and enjoy myself

out with friends, but, yes, it did take a while to get back to that

comfortable place.

I do completely understand your feeling that your life has been diminished

somewhat by this surgery, but I can tell you, from my own experiences, that

when you are able to eat and enjoy what you like again (and it WILL happen),

you will (believe it or not) miss this time when you felt your choices were

limited and you were losing weight effortlessly.

In any case, you are definitely entitled to your feelings and I'm not trying

to talk you out of them at all. I'm just wanting to let you know to have

patience with the process, because it will all come back to you.

Love ya girlfriend.

live each day like it's your last... love like you've never been hurt...

Hiya Deb

How are you doing and that sweetie pie daughter of yours? I hear what you

are saying about things will be better later on and I sincerely hope so because

right now feels like hell on earth. Most of the time I just don't eat because

I would rather not feel that horrible pain in my pouch and I am truly tired

of throwing up shoot I feel like a sick cat most of the time LOL have you ever

seen a cat throwing up well I look and feel just like that. My comfort food

now that never makes me sick is egg drop soup that is a far cry from what I

usually would eat. I mean I am seeing the weight come off slowly as ever but it

is happening and I will start working out soon to tone up as much as possible

and to boost the pounds to drop off. Now enough about me I have seen your

latest picture and you look great you are really doing a fantastic job and no

matter how I am feeling you remain an inspiration to me.

All the Best

Lori Anne
