Guest guest
Well folks, It has been 3 months since the big day. The Dr says I am doing fine. My total cholesteral is 93. But I never really had a problem with high cholesterol to begin with. It's just not in my genes. My Primary dr saw the labs too and says I am genetically made for the WLS. My HDL level was low, only 35. THis means I am not getting enough exercise. I knew that, I didn't need the labwork to snitch on me. I asked him about the diet soda, he was OK with it so long as it didn't interfere with my intake of protiens. (It doesn't, work interferes with my intake) He's also Ok with me having a little coffee in the morning... Now, before anyone jumps up and down and tells me it's poison, the coffee I can NOT do without...so save your breath. The main thing is I am happy, losing weight and most importantly, HEALTHY! YAY ME! Sharon RNY LAP 7-17-03 Dr. Miami Hope Center 315/247/

Dear Sharon, I to will NOT go without my coffee and I also realize it will eventually cause me to have an ulcer. So this is something I to have to learn to give up. For me , having had an ulcer pre-surgery, it is POISON! And as far as the diet soda. That is each individuals choice. But as for me I would rather keep my bones in good health.
