it's very true that being post-op can only be experienced by a

post-op. it's a true eye opener! i also went through a phase where i

thought i would NEVER enjoy food again & i both mourned & was furious

@ the same time. & another phase where i couldn't forgive myself for

having gotten MO. they passed, hunny.

our journeys, of course, will take us onto different psychological

terrains.

i've " known " you from this group for many months, i remember

distinctly all your pre-op enthusiasm.

Hi Lori H

Well, all my pre-op enthusiasm has waned and the cold stark reality of what I

have entered into is right here with it's cold harsh reality. This surgery

is such a personal thing and the journey is so different for each person. You

are doing great and you are another person I consider an inspiration. It is

hard coming from a standpoint of loving food to one where now I only deal with

it for survival purposes. I have not experienced head hunger but I have felt

physically hungry a few times but other than that I am not hungry all day. I

drink more juice than anything and I do not drink hardly any of the protein

drinks I have grown tired of them and the mere sight of them gets me mad. Hey I

am getting the results that I wanted I am losing weight so as far as that

goes the surgery has been successful. You take care

Lori Anne
