As I mentioned before I had some really good nurses that let me rinse my mouth with water as long as I promised to spit it out...which I did. Guest guest Posted October 14, 2003 Report Share Posted October 14, 2003 My doctor indicated that I would have 2 leak tests...one during the surgery or atleast prior to the end of surgery and then the one where you swallow and X-ray....I am impressed by this....I switched surgeons about a month ago and my first sureon never mentioned doing these. I also had to do a pre-op bacteria test withthe new surgeon....once again old durgeon had never mentioned doing one...I am so glad I switched! Less than three weeks and then I become a loser....YEAH! Not anything? Maybe I am weird because I was allowed ice chips, water, Gatorade, juice and broth. Although it was mostly the ice chips that I " ate " . Is this unusual? T.
