Just an idea for you if they won't give you water or anything to wet your

mouth (Mine would not either). The nurses did let me have a wet wash cloth.

So at least I could dampen it. It was enough to get me through the first

day until I could have water.

The hospital provided me with little " sponges on a stick " (I'm sure they

have a technical name) that I could soak in ice and swab my mouth with.

That worked great!
