Guest guest
hi, i had a dr appt today and the NP said she pretty sure it was the milk like you said - she said start with skim or 1% and sslowly work my way up. i have been living on mylanta gas X --- i also had 2 lap sites that had the knot on the outside and had to be clipped - they were not healing well and starting to look infected so they should be OK now - the rest i can hardly see. i lost 2 1/2 lbs since the visit there a week ago - i'm almost to the 10 lb mark and i hope that is just the beginning - everyone there seems surprised that i'm doing so well - i'm not sure what they expected but i was 263 going in -- i almost want to ask them why would they expect i wouldn't be doing good. thanks for the encouragement !! visit our website www.geocities.com/tanyarn96/countryside.html www.poncetihomes.com -- Re: (unknown) Sounds like you had a dumping episode - probably from the milk. Most of us are lactose intolerant after surgery - and milk is just lactose which is a sugar!! Bummer, huh? I was craving milk the first few weeks. Could practically taste it going down......(I love milk, oh well!) Your weight loss is fine. I too was a fairly slow loser and still am (2.5 monthes out) . You will find that it will not be a steady thng, this losing weight. You will have plateuas when you lose nothing, you will have weeks where you lose like crazy, others when you lose the reccommended 3-6 lbs. Your age makes a difference (boo hoo for me), the older the slower. Your metabolism is just fighting the change in your body - dont worry - it will come off. Please keep me informed of your progress!
