Guest guest
Well, I am the total opposite....I am hot natured and will wear short sleeves all year round...but I do live in Houston, so it doesn't get that cold anyway. Well, I am wondering if when I lose the poundage will I be like all the skinny broads around my office that get cold at a drop of a hat....I'm just looking forward to being able to wear the company shirts (long sleeve) when and if I do get cold. I tend to want to wear loose fitting dresses nothing tight that outlines my true figure....that will change...I just hope I don't go to the extreme and become a Ally McBeal dress wanna be, but hey....I haven't worn a mini since elementary school....LOL! I had to get his shirt and cover up yesterday. Yes girl...you temp will change. I use to never wear a coat in the winter either and my Mom would fuss like crazy at me. I was just hot natured and felt all bound up with the jackets. But I wouldnt trade the body temp for anything now. I can always get warm. Couldn't always get cool. Do you have a date now for surgery? Guest guest
Oh boy, Carol... LOL @ the micro-mini wearing Ally comment. Hey, I figure if my skin fared better than it has (pretty bad inner thigh droopage) I would be struttin' those mini's all over the place. Why not, huh? **Don't dwell on past failures, dream of future successes.** ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Toi ~ Colorado Lap RNY Medial Bypass 12/31/02 -130 lbs St. Mark's Hospital Salt Lake City, UT Dr. Simper
Guest guest
I was warned before surgery that afterwards I would feel cold a lot - I smiled, thinking, no way, not ME! Miss always had a fan running and secretly turned down the thermostat at work every day.......but yup it started very shortly after surgery. I wear slippers now! I wear a bathrobe at night!!!!!! I sleep under a down quilt!!!!!!!!! Good grief. I go into my elderly moms house and even feel cold there. I was told it had to do with thinning insulation (rapidly) and the thyroid gland re-adjusting. Ann Elliot RNY with choly July 18 2003 291/244/hoping for 150 I will not give up the fight!!!! Guest guest
Carol, As I think I've told you before, I lived in Magnolia until recently. After my surgery, I got very cold all the time. I still do. Just thought I should warn you :-). I noticed you're changing surgeons, who will you be using now? Do you know yet? Re: Being cold... Ok Guys, cold is just the way it is for now. Guest guest
I should know something hopefully next week...I have been approved, but have switched doctors. Had the consultation, but his dictated history and physical had my weight at 195....don't I wish...but he now has to resubmit the history and physical....so they can get a letter from the insurance saying that it is covered under the new physician....geez...I don't know why they can't just give me a bloody date it is approved and they are hung up on a technicality especially since they screwed up the history and physical....now I am wishingg had not switched....and when I told the office that, the nurse said well you need to do what you need to do....where is customer service now adays... Guest guest
Well I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only one freezing my b*tt off all the time! I can't believe how cold I've been lately. Dh laughs at me now because I used to be just the opposite. We'd run the A/C clear into Nov!
