Guest guest
Hi, I'm new to the group and have a question with regard to fish oil supplementation for my son who was adopted from Russia 7-1/2 months ago. He is 27 months old, and while he has not officially been diagnosed with apraxia, (although it has not been ruled out), he is delayed in his speech and works with a speech therapist through the Early Intervention program. I read the book, " The Late Talker " and became interested in supplementing my son's diet with omega 3's. However, I am confused about proper dosages for a child who is only 2, and even his pediatrician was unable to offer much guidance. How much is too much, and how much is enough to be effective? In the meantime, I have been giving him 1/4 tsp. of the Nordic Naturals cod liver oil which my husband and I take, but I'd like to get him on the stuff recommended in the book. I would appreciate any advice or guidance you all could give me here. Thanks,
