Guest guest
As a specialist in the field of autism/PDD-NOS I can assure you that the sensory processing difficulties have far more to do with what is going on in the rest of the body, rather than the brain. We have wasted 50 years of research looking for the abnormality in the brain that leads to the heightened level of sensory response in these children and found nothing significant. When we work on the body instead we see results. Can be a gastrointestinal problem, heavy metal toxicity, immune system dysfunction or a multitude of other things. I am getting the best results with my kids by following the lead of the machine/subconscious.....each of them is completely different in the midst of having the same or a similar label. Gail Gillingham sensory integration disorder Hi,I have a client (2 yo) with this label. I am going to do alot of brain wave balancing but anyone with a protocol, diet or supplement regimens please email me. What exactly is this? I noticed an email from another QXer with pervasive disorder or such but there was no follo-up.Thanks,Jackie No virus found in this incoming message.Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.Version: 7.0.323 / Virus Database: 267.9.2/52 - Release Date: 7/19/2005
Guest guest
I have a question: My son doesn't talk much and sometimes it seems to require effort. We've ruled out hearing and vocal issues. It is probably a processing problem. Could our son have apraxia? Dawn

Guest guest
I am a teacher and have experience of a 2nd grade male student with it. He required an Occupational Therapist with experience in SID. As a teacher, it was new to me in terms of dealing with it in a classroom environment. The OT directed me to the book, Out of Sync Child and there was a chapter or two in there. Sent via BlackBerry by AT & T Sensory Integration Disorder Is anyone aware of this disorder or have any information to share in relation to vaccines. A friend of mine's little boy has this and I can't help but to think it isn't a neurological disorder and how vaccines could have played a role. She said it's genetic. Now, she is interested in not vax her unborn baby...due in 2 months and I am trying to help get her the info she needs. Any thoughts?
