Have you asked Cyndi? She has the most animal involvement that I know of.

-- [low dose naltrexone] LDN and dogs

I would appreciate hearing from anyone who's had experience treating an animal with LDN. My sister's five-year-old Tibetan terrior has lymphoma and they've decided not to do chemo. It's particularly heartbreaking for my nephews, because my brother-in-law is in the process of moving out.Thank you.

, I treated Madeline our 85lb. Golden retriever with 3.0mg of LDN for appprox. 9 months. Immediately after taking the LDN, she became happy and puppy like with lots of energy. I am sure it prolonged her life and also helped the quality. Our beloved Madeline passed away several months ago and left a lineage of 23 puppies to carry her memory. She is sadly missed but I feel LDN is worth a try to give to any pet with a chronic condition. There is also someone in Ft. Lauderdale who had success treating their dog with LDN. Best, Kathy

My pure terrier mix (mostly red brindle Cairne) was 10

december 1, 2006 and takes 1 mg LDN. Also 400mg CoQ10

plus garic powder and toasted sesame oil with Wellness

brand fish and sweet potato dry kibbles against

terrier allergies. Duffy now wants to run flat out on

his walks. Nails grow to be trimmed monthly. Vet

tolerates my ideosyncrasies.

Someone last year had a 10 yr Lab with bone cancer and this is what she posted.

"My 10 year old black lab mixwas diagnosed with bone cancer in October and all theresearch said even with meds and chemo, she'd likelyonly make it 5 - 7 months...so of course I immediatelytook a chance with the LDN at 1.5 mg/ml and the hugetumor disappeared and her appetite came back...itlooked like it may have started coming back so Iincreased it to 2 mg/ml and she's still fine.

Hope this helps. Betty

Let me let you in on our dirty little secret. We do about 75% of our business in the vet marketplace. Anyway, just recently there have been several vets calling about LDN for ca. One guy is a big deal oncologist at one of the big local hospitals.

we have just started the protocol, so dose is up in the air right now. One of our puppies has had a serious of lymphomas for the past 4 years. Each time its suppose to be his last, and voila, he pulls tru. Just an off to the side, it is the ugliest bull dog I have ever seen. Massive overbite, big gooy eyes and stinks, even worse than my dog. Anyway Butch is still going on, so there is probably something here.

Yes, very successfully. Dr. Bihari told me he's treated numerous dogs

and cats and stopped cancer in them.

Recently a friend of mine's dog developed cancer and was fading fast.

I gave her a two weeks supply of my pills which she gave to him at

half dose. (2 mg) Within days he was doing better. She now got her

vet to prescribe it for him.

We are using LDN (3mg)for a 100lb German Shepherd who had anal

fistulas/Crohns. Have been able to totally wean off the expensive

cyclosporin and he is doing great now and gaining weight and energy.

Could not wean before the LDN. Had an LDN treatment failure in another

dog for endless hot spots and itching/scratching; but it did seem to

help his ear inflammation and tendency for going lame.

best,P.B.

P.B. How did you determine the 3 mg dosage for your German Shepherd? And are you giving him anything else to support the LDN such as ALA? Thanks.

Since 2mg was recommended by LDN experts for a 60 lbs child we just

estimated best dose using that as a guide. Have not found ALA to be

needed.

good luck, P.B.

Since the LDN experts recommend 2mg for a 60 lb child we just used

that as a guide to calculate best place to start. We have not found

ALA to be required, but are continuing duck and potato dog food that

did not work without the LDN.

good luck, P.B.
