Guest guest
Mikael, Pleural Effusion is the migration of fluid into the pleura, the lining surrounding the lungs. It can make breathing difficult. Are you still having trouble breathing? Good Luck, Jerry

Guest guest
I have pleural efusions. It means that you have some shadowing on your lung(s). It could be from the lung being pushed in showing a shawdow or it could be from some scarring. I have pleural efusions because I had TB as a child. However, when I had pseudocysts last year the pleural efusions were more pronounced and I was told that was because my pancreas was pushing into my lung and causing a shadow. Hope this helps. breathing problems > hi everyone new to this, jan 6 i had a severe pancreatic attack > lipase was over 10000 and amylase was 2000. had a really rough time > of it, spent 16 days in the hospital and here its 3 weeks after that > and i am having trouble running out of breath, went to the docter > today told me the pancrea is still swollen and it was most likely > pushing on my diapham and causing the trouble, when i was in the > hospital the cat scan showed pleaural effusions, has anyone heard of > this and how long before my pancreas is not inflamed anymore, all my > enysmes are normal now, someone help. mikael > > > > PANCREATITIS Association, Intl. > Online e-mail group > > To reply to this message hit & quot;reply & quot; or send an e-mail to: Pancreatitis (AT) Yahoo > >

Guest guest
thanks everyone for your replies, i also took an hiv test to make sure that it was not the reason; haven't had one for 5 years and so i thought i should alleviate my anxiety. my primary docter told me the pancreas was still very swollen and that is why i have trouble with breathing. how long before it goes down? he also said he was surpised they didn't do an ultrasound on me because he thinks i had gallstones, judging that the liver was not that involved. he also told me he has never seen pacreatitis announcing hiv, unless i was on some antiviral drugs. thanks for all your support and your comments are more than welcome please, frantic and nervous for the next two weeks for the hiv test results. mikael
