LDN causes you to have two periods per month??

So I wouldn't know if LDN is causing me any weight gain, it certainly isn't helping me lose any but I wouldn't care if LDN made me gain 500 pounds(226.79kg), it has greatly lessened a pain that was making me have suicidal thoughts, has stopped my disease progression for over 3 years and has allowed me to improve my overall health. One yucky thing LDN has caused me is I'm now having 2 menses cycles a month. Before giving up on the med, try taking only 4.5mg between the hours of 9pm and 3am and see if your pain is controlled and your hunger lessens.

I have never heard of this... Maybe we should get input from anyone else that this is happening to.

Thats quite a claim . What proof do you have that LDN causes extra menstrual cycles? Are you sure it's the LDN?> >> > LDN causes you to have > two periods per month??> ======> > Yep, one week off, one > week on, one week off, > one week on.> > >

if that happened after starting LDN, I could see making that correlation.

What we may fail to realize is that the LDN only does ONE thing. That's it, just ONE thing. A Temporary Blockade on receptors. That's it.

It puts bubble gum over a garden hose that has a very small drip. The gum only can hold back the building pressure for just so long. The water molecules build up and build up at the same time the bubble gum is losing it's holding power. Ideally the pressure is built up strong just around the same time the bubble gum gives out. So you have 1 of 3 scenarios... the other 2 aren't as strong.

When you have both happen at the same time, it's like that old sit com gag where you race up to a door to try to break it down, then on the 3rd try, the guy opens the door just as you hit it and you really go FLYING through.

So that's all LDN 'does'. Everything else is the dynamic makeup and individual history of your own unique body. It's the body that's 'doing this' and 'causing that', not the LDN. The LDN only did one thing... some people have wild and unpredictable results. How do you know how the body will react to suddenly orchestrating normally? It has a lot of issues to now work on and check out. Each of our lists of Things to Do is different. The body seems to have as good, well, probably a lot better, memory than we do. Can you remember that time you went out to eat, came home, felt bad, ended up puking your guts out, and then laying horizontal for a few days, sometimes with 102 fever? Well, the body remembers that too, and if there was 'damage' that it couldn't 'fix', back then, it now thinks it Can fix it, and so you have some weird things happen, for a while.

Sometimes we'd have something happen, For a While, and PANIC, and Try to Do something about it. The body would fix it up if you left it alone, but Nooooo... we PANIC and do something about a Result we don't like.

I try to leave it alone and give it time. It looked like it was putting up a good fight with my staph infection... but after 6 weeks, the body lost, the staph took over full bloom, and it was time for a podiatrist, he gave me cream and levaquin and totally freaked out 48 hours later, when, after 2 doses, my staph infection started to reverse and retreat. He showed me the referral to the hospital he didn't have to give me. Told me my immune system was operating at better than key efficiency. When I told him "cool, I have MS" he said "NO WAY", and then I told him my/our theory on LDN. He said IF that's what it does, then that's what happened. And reiterated it nearly EVERY visit since. He's still amazed. 23 years he was in practice at the time and said he never saw any staph, the strain I had, do what it did in my case. It was a first.

Well, for whatever that was worth.. JMHO, YMMV, la de da :) rah rah rah
