Can they eat peanut butter? As it is not a nut, I am not sure if you mean

this too. If so, I have made a peanut butter “muffin” with 2 eggs, 1 jar

peanut butter and ½ cup squash, and a tiny bit of baking soda. 350 for about

15-20 minutes. I put them in two square glass pans and cut like brownies.

You can add honey and make them cupcakes. My kids loved them before I took

away peanut butter :o)

Subject: nut-free flour????

I am new to SCD, yes, I have, and have read the book.

I am finding it very difficult to bake things, while having to be nut

free. Are there any other flour alternatives that are legal, and nut-

free, and would work well to bake muffins, etc... with???

I have seen the chicken recipe, and still, do plan to try it. Any other

suggestions?

Thanks.

Thanks for the recipe, and I should have specified, but, no- peanuts are out

as well. I know, I don't leave you much to work with.

Thanks, again.

I think that I have made it with only squash before…probably have to add

banana and 3 eggs to make it stay together. I would just experiment. I am

thinking that my kids may not be able to tolerate peanut butter so I might

be in your shoes too. I may give it a try and see what comes out of it! I

made a chicken and pear muffin with egg yolk and it was a bit mushy. I am

not sure if its because of the water but my kids LOVED them anyway.

Hi Kelli,

If you're up for sharing that chicken and pear recipe, I would love to get

it. My son has serious yeast issues, so I try and stay away from bananas,

but he does great on chicken and pears. He also does well with all squashes-

so any recipes/tips on how to bake with squash would be very, very much

appreciated.

Thank-you so much.

I use 1/2 cup pear sauce, 2 chicken breasts (precooked), 6 eggs, 1 tsp

baking soda. 350 for about 20 minutes. I put them in a square glass pan (2

of them). I am making them right now. They might be better as pancakes. Kai

Hi Amber,

We also use a lot of coconut flour I put it in the processor and make it my

self. Yet we rotate well around here...because it seem like if we don't we get

sick with everything! So we don't do a lot of baked goodies....we are also

going slow introducing new things since we went to fast before....and paid for

it. I made the banana pancakes with a little coconut flour and it worked out

wonderful and was good...had to cook real slow though...took forever. My son

couldn't/wouldn't eat them...bananas make him sick! So many people to please

around here!

We discovered that almond and peanuts are not well tolerated either...will try

again in several months after we heal a while.

Coconut is usually safe to eat. A coconut is actually the seed of a fruit. Some

people have

reacted to coconut. Discuss eating coconut with your health care provider before

introducing coconut to your child's diet.
