You need to speak with

Dr. Jacquelyn McCandless

on this topic, she can

help you with this. This

has happened with LDN and

your diet needs to change

to stop these feelings

and Dr. McCandless is the

one who can advise you.

If you do not know Dr.

McCandless' contact info

let me know.

Thanks Bren, I need Dr. Mc Candlesses contact info. Will she charge for a phone consult or can I just email her? These symptoms are also common on Namenda. Perhaps the combination is what is bad. I really am at a bad point right now. Thanks, Sandi

sandy I didn't see your post so if you could resend I can see if i

can address it. I don't know why your taking ldn (not why your taking

but for what disease process), how old you are, and what other

medical issues you have.

My grandma takes LDN and

Namenda with no

problems. Try coming off

the Namenda for a few

days to see if it's the

Namenda. If not, it's

the LDN and you may need

to make some adjustments.

For Jaquelyn McCandless

email see link below.

scroll down to where it

says Send mail and click

that. She will not

charge for emailing her.

She posts on this forum.

Be sure to tell her about

your mood ince starting

LDN.

Sandi, are you taking LDN for

fibromyalgia? I am wondering what the chronic pain is from? I have been on

LDN for one month for fibromyalgia and crest and sjrogren’s and my pain

is almost gone. If I have a painful day I take a naprosyn but I was taking one

a day, and now don’t need it. Perhaps LDN will be enough if the other

med is giving you bad side effects. Conni

[low dose naltrexone]

Dizziness and Namenda and LDN

Hi everyone,

I posted before about being dizzy or light headed but

it may not be the LDN. It may be the Namenda which I started 6 weeks

before. Or perhaps the interaction of the two. Namenda is an

Alzheimers med with the off label use of helping chronic pain which is what I

am tkaing it for --- pain. I don't know if it helps with the pain as I am

in slightly less pain, but that could be the Namenda, LDN, or various other

vitamins and supplements. I do know that when I was on Namenda w/o the

LDN I had bouts of dizziness when I increased the medication.

Has anyone on this list taken Namenda before?

Has anyone ever taken it in combo with LDN? Probably not.

Also I feel depressed, stressed and agitated, like I

am just ready to snap. Is that common with the LDN?

Thanks,

Sandi

sandiwhy are you taking Namendathese are the side efectsSIDE EFFECTS: The most common side effect of memantine are fatigue, pain, increases in blood pressure, dizziness, headache, constipation, vomiting, back pain, confusion, somnolence, hallucination, coughing, and difficulty in breathing. The side effects are most often mild to moderate.andDRUG INTERACTIONS: Medicines that make the urine more alkaline (for example, carbonic anhydrase inhibitors such as acetazolamide (Diamox) and sodium bicarbonate would be expected to reduce the elimination of memantine by the kidneys and might increase the blood levels and the risk of side effects of memantine. Combining memantine with other NMDA receptor antagonists (for example, amantadine (Symmetrel), ketamine, and dextromethorphan) has not been evaluated and should be approached cautiously.http://www.medicinenet.com/memantine/article.htmcyndiOn Oct 10, 2006, at 8:59 AM, Sandi Sharp wrote: Thanks Bren,   I need Dr. Mc Candlesses contact info.  Will she charge for a phone consult or can I just email her?  These symptoms are also common on Namenda.  Perhaps the combination is what is bad.  I really am at a bad point right now.   Thanks, Sandi Messenger with Voice. If you recall, you were going to provide me with similar info re

dizziness. You were also going to provide me a list of vitamins and

supplements I should be taking. I sent you a list of the supps and

vits I was taking while on the cancer pre-clinical protocol for

anti-angeogenesis and those that I've already stopped taking.

I know that you are extremely busy right now, but is there some way

you can squeeze that info in so I can know what to take and what not

to take?

Warmly,

Dan
