Guest guest
Hi Carol, Has come up many times over the years but strangely just as many people ask the question because they've gained rather than lost weight, so it doesn't seem to directly relate to LDN, at least not in isolation. Guest guest
That's the opposite topic of the other one currently going on. I figure your metabolism has sped up, maybe to the way it used to be, years ago. I used to be able to eat and eat and not gain.. now I have to watch it, but I still noticed my metabolic rate is back to where it used to be. I started LDN at 135 4/03, was 124 11/03, 127 11/04, 114 7/05, 108 4/06 and gained 21 after quitting cigs to 129 5/06, 122 7/06 and now I'm doing 127 area. I was impressed at this level, but I'm missing the 110-114 range, that was run... it all hangs mostly around my stomach, so I didn't mind 114.. people say I should be where I am now.. some even say I could gain some more and it wouldn't be a problem... yeah, for them, what do they care. LOL [low dose naltrexone] Weight change? Hi Folks: I don't often get to read the posts, so don't know if this subject has been brought up... but have any of you lost weight on LDN? It is the only "change" I can think of, but the pounds are dropping off! I have lost about 10 lbs since starting this 2+ months ago. I'm GRATEFUL however this is happening, but just wondered if this might be the thing that is doing it? Thanks! Carol
Guest guest
-- Hi Dr. Carol, For the record, I started 3.0 mg of LDN in April 2006 and I have lost about 10 pounds and I think it is the LDN just my personal opinion. - In low dose naltrexone , " Dr. Carol " <bewell@...> wrote: > > Hi Folks: > I don't often get to read the posts, so don't know if this subject has > been brought up... but have any of you lost weight on LDN? Guest guest
Carol, I gained almost 60 lbs from being on steriods for a whole year. Horrible! I'm only 5'1" so you can imagne how that 60 lbs looks on me. I went fro, being of average build to beong a big fat butterball. People scarcely recognised me. I have been off the steriods and on LDN since Februaur 2006 and not able to walk, still in a power wheelchair- so i am getting NO EXERCISE at all, i have not been dieting..yet i've lost 20 lbs so far. 40 to go!! LCN has definately reduced my appetite. I eat less than i ever did even before the steroids. Nola [low dose naltrexone] Weight change? Guest guest
Hi Jerry, I've been drinking that tea you suggested. I lke it, and drink a cup a night. The first few nights, within a half an hour after drinking it, I got a headache. That went away after a few evenings, so I attributed it to a herx effect. I told myself if the headache persisted after three evenings or so, I would stop drinking it. But now I feel pretty good after drinking it and also the next day. It DOES have a cleansing effect, thx for the tip, I'm going to continue drinking it. [low dose naltrexone] Weight change? Guest guest
i wish i was losing! i started ldn 6/19/06 and rapidly gained 15 lbs! now i'm struggling to take it off.... i asked dr. bihari about it and he said it shouldn't be caused by ldn. i'm skeptical! michelle
Guest guest
Hi Carol, I lost about 15 lbs in 7 months. But, that was not a good thing because I was already small, so now I look sick. Once I stopped LDN I started eating more and now I'm gaining weight again. It's been 3 weeks now, I don't know what to do. from Ohio"Dr. Carol" <bewell@...> wrote: Hi Folks: I don't often get to read the posts, so don't know if this subject has been brought up... but have any of you lost weight on LDN?
