Guest guest
i haven't been reading the posts for a few months and i hope i did not miss anything regarding this request, but i was wondering if anyone had dr. bihari's phone # and if anyone knows if he is still seeing patients. hopefully he is and he is willing to do a consult with someone he has never seen. my neurologist is getting pissy about Rx'ing LDN and my experiences with LDN are not as many on this group. i feel i need further insight, and i hope he will be able to provide it. if there is anyone else that might be able to provide this insight, i welcome all suggestions. thank you to all who answered my last post. joanna
Guest guest
Joanna, as far as I know, Dr. Bihari is only doing phone consultations at this point, though you might want to check with Bill, his office manager: 212-929-4196. Guest guest
very cool, a doc not afraid to 'put himself out there'. Now THATS progress! Guest guest
Although this line is a little baffling: 'A month supply of 3mg Naltrexone is $25.00 or less, depending upon the strength and quantity.' > >> > i haven't been reading the posts for a few months and i hope i did > not > > miss anything regarding this request, but i was wondering if > anyone had > > dr. bihari's phone # and if anyone knows if he is still seeing > > patients. hopefully he is and he is willing to do a consult with > > someone he has never seen. my neurologist is getting pissy about > Rx'ing > > LDN and my experiences with LDN are not as many on this group. i > feel > > i need further insight, and i hope he will be able to provide it. > if > > there is anyone else that might be able to provide this insight, i > > welcome all suggestions. thank you to all who answered my last > post.> > > > joanna> >> ============> > Here's a doc that will prescribe LDN for $200.> > Doc who does phone consultations for $200.00> > Multiple Sclerosis > > LDN in the Management of Multiple Sclerosis > > http://www.contemporarymedicine.net/multiple_sclerosis.htm> > >

I do not live far from Chicago and could see the guy in person. Just this morning I had my second neurologist say " no " to naltrexone. In my letter of introduction to her, I mentioned I was interested in non-standard treatments, such as naltrexone. She told me she was here to help me. Fine. We did blood tests and an MRI. The follow up was today. My brain lesions have not grown. She concurred with the MS diagnosis. Then she asked what I wanted to do. First off, I want to walk like I used to. She had me walk across the exam room, then told me I could walk. she had seen my leg brace previously. She knew I'd spent time in the Himalaya's 5 years ago. Not simple stuff, weeks at high altitude on glaciers. I can't even walk 0.25 miles to the grocery store now. She had the gall to tell me I could walk. I think what hurt me is that I asked her questions about her reccomendations. Many of these docs are just not comfortable dealing with a peer asking direct questions. They only know memorization and catagorization, not critical problem solving thinking. I've had better blind dates than that appointment this morning. Anyway, if anyone knows about the clinic, let me know. Tomorrow i'll call and set up an appointment.
Guest guest
The only word of caution I could give stems from the one line on that site. 'a months worth of 3mg ldn for about $25, depending on the strength and quantity' When I see something written like that, a red flag goes up. It COULD just be a typo, but that sentence doesnt look right. Guest guest
The website below - Contemporary Medicine - is Dr. Ayre - I have spoken with Dr. Ayre by phone in years past. He originally prescribed LDN for me after a telephone consult. Seemed like a nice guy and a caring doctor. I know he has posted on this forum in the past. Last I knew he had stopped doing phone consults, but that was 2-3 years ago. Guest guest
I'm anticipating using the Naltrexone for rheumatoid arthritis. I called Bihari's office regarding their protocol versus Dr. Berkson's alpha lipoic acid and low dose Naltrexone IV treatment - in NM. Bill, in Bihari's office was extremely helpful. I'm going to pursue simply starting on the capsules - prescribed through my orthomolecular local doctor - and if I don't get a satisfactory result, then go the IV route in NM in February as scheduled. Can I ask what you consulted w/Dr. Ayre for and your treatment protocol? Thanks for the email. ---- HollyOak7@... wrote: > > > I had a phone consult with Dr. Ayre last week. Guest guest
I am using ldn for Schleraderma, Crest syndrome, Fibromyalgia, and Sjrogren's syndrome. I have been on it about a month. It has had a profound effect on me. Let me know how it is for your rheumatoid. I would like my dad to take it and go off the pregnisone, and the methatroxate. Do you anticipate going off some of those meds. I would like to see how you do on it also. Guest guest
I spoke to Bill in Dr. Bihari's office the other day. Dr. Bihari is currently doing phone consultations, but Bill expects him back in the office pretty soon. His number is 212-929-4196.
