LOVE & HUGS, grandmomBEv

had her surgery on Tuesday

She had her open heart surgery on Tuesday to correct her VSD. The

surgery went great and she did wonderfully that day and was even able

to be extubated. Unfortunately, since that night she has been

struggling a bit. She has been running some high fevers and had

breathing problems. She has been very very close to being put back

on the vent but they are really trying to avoid it because of her

cf. We have had to reduce her pain meds to help with her breathing

but that has made it so she is uncomfortable. It is so hard to find

the right balance. She does seem a bit better this morning so

hopefully she is really starting to turn the corner now and will

begin some steady improvement.
