We do have quite a large number of Canadian members. Where do you live? There may be someone who lives in your territory. She didn't tell me where just that she was from Canada. I attached her last email she wrote, so you will have her email address, and can correspond with her. Would like me to start sending you all the members that join that do live in Canada. Your help would be wonderful to help connect them. I know there are about 10 or so that are currently members. _____________________________________________________________ This is sort of another topic, but seemed right to add on here. One of the things in Val's email is her last line: > My inbox is overflowing...close to 500 messages. It's going to be a long day > > Take care...Val If you know how to change your mail delivery status, please let her know that is an option and how to do it, when you write her. Since the majority of our members unsubscribe because they don't understand computers or lists very well (even though several of us write them, they just don't understand the lingo) is one of the reasons I want to try and connect new members to their Representative. The most important job a Rep can do for a new member is stay in touch with them and make sure they are doing okay with the way they are receiving emails/posts. There wasn't a Canadian Rep, there wasn't anyone to refer her to (kind of like a buddy system, to show them the ropes, etc.). With the PAI exploding in all of its services with and outside of the message board, I am having a hard time keeping up one on one with the new members. (The PAI does have an opening for a Volunteer Membership Coordinator. ) Several of the members do bring things to my attention when they know I might not be aware of a situation. I appreciate that so much. Anytime someone sees someone post about receiving " so many emails " or something to that effect, please bring it to my attention so we can help them change their mail delivery status, before they unsubscribe from frustration. Thanks for all you do, and , thanks for reaching out to the Canadians. Let me know, if you want to do more. Karyn E. , RN Founder / Executive Director Pancreatitis Association International Corp. Guest guest
, I appreciate all that you do, and am amazed at how much you are able to keep up with. It is nice to know who I can contact if someone has a question or a need in your local area. I hope everything goes well with your knee surgery. I had my experience last year.
