Guest guest
Just a silly question. What does it mean if you don't wake up between 2 & 3? I don't. -- Re: [low dose naltrexone] Re: Take with other meds? That's funny. I'm including this entire thread to respond to both issues. My work schedule varies much, but I frequently work until 12-1 am, sometimes until 3. In any case, me being awake at 3 isn't uncommon. At 3, almost on the dot, if I'm still awake, I get *very* wired (endorphins?) and usually can't sleep then until 4 or after. My wife has problems getting to sleep somewhat often. She takes either melatonin or benadryl to help. Neither of us has noticed a problem with her taking benadryl with LDN. Not advice, just her experience.Eve wrote:> It gets even stranger. Guest guest
Dear Robin et al, I tried DLPA worked great but it raised my already high blood pressure, so I had to stop taking it. Re: [low dose naltrexone] Re: Take with other meds? So am curious -- are many of you doing the supplemental phenalalanine and are you seeing a difference from if you didn't take it also? -- Robin
Guest guest
Hi Robin - I take DLPA for depression; it seems to work, as I'm off antidepressants for the first time in years and doing fine...except I still have MS... It was my understanding LDN wouldn't do anything to ease Lyme symptoms or stop the progression of that disease and in fact could have adverse effects. A. Guest guest
Robin, You stated that Dr. Bihan's office treats Lyme with LDN? Is it the same doseages as MS? They first dx'd me with ms 3 years ago, but as recent as 2 months ago I have a test done for lyme and it came back +. Am seeing a LD doctor in a couple of months (hard to get Appt. with ) but in the mean time I'm taking 3.0 LDN plus still on copaxone. My symptons have been increasing lately mostly more differicult to walk and pick things up with my right hand. I am trying to ride it out, (LDN for 5 months,) but it's getting har, any suggestions, Thanks, jC Re: [low dose naltrexone] Re: Take with other meds? Hi -- I've been reading here for a week or so, and want to try the ldn. I was told I had fibromyalgia, for which I've sleep-medicated with 25 benadryl and 1/2 tab lorazepam for years. Now I've just found out recently I actually have Lyme disease! From a tick bite 25 years ago that no one ever figured out with me till recently, and then I tested positive for it. So I've been treating the effects of Lyme disease withy the benadryl and lorazepam. It's something else to mentally rename what I've been actually treating! And yes, Dr. Bihari's office is treating patients with Lyme with the ldn. -- Robin No virus found in this incoming message.Checked by AVG Free Edition.Version: 7.1.394 / Virus Database: 268.10.5/406 - Release Date: 8/2/2006
Guest guest
Ok I'm joining in. I am on LDN at 3.0 mg, been taking for a month now. I wake up every night between 1:15 to 2:30 am and sometimes between 4:15 to 4:30 to use the bathroom. I use to get up at least 3 times. I take my Med between 9:00p - 10:00p. BUT I SLEEP SO MUCH BETTER. I do have bad leg spasms sometimes. Seems like the good things that happened the first two weeks are subsiding. From what I'm reading I'm not sure I want to go up to the next level. I also read that if MSer's who have leg spasms, should stay on 3.0 mg. Any comments? Guest guest
Hi -- The ldn topic is very new for me so I suggest you contact Dr. Bihari's office and discuss the ldn treatment for Lyme patients with them. You can e-mail me about Lyme if you'd like. -- Robin sfrobink@...
