Guest guest
Hi Bob, I am so sorry to hear that Heidi is in the hospital, yet it is the best place she could be in her current condition. Your wife is such a blessing to this group. She is very knowledgeable about the disease, compassionate and willing to give her advice. I don't think she knows this but she is the reason I found this group. One night I was doing Internet research about this disease. I was scared and felt so alone. I stumbled onto a website (I think if was a UK site) and I saw her response to some post on this particular site. She was, as always, giving someone on that site some really great info. At the end of the post she had told this person if they wanted to e-mail her in private they could and she listed her e-mail address. I took a chance and E-mailed her myself. I was a little nervous about this since she wasn't addressing me...but I was so scared and had so many questions. So I E-mailed her and she responded and told me about PAI. And now I can't imagine how I ever got along without this group. I get so much from this group. It is wonderful to know that you aren't alone with such a life changing disease. I owe this all to Heidi, and for that she will always have a special place in my heart. Please send her my best and I will pray for her, you and the rest of the family. Sending lots of happy thoughts your way... Marisa~San Diego, CA
Guest guest
Hi everyone, this Bob Griffeth, Heidi's husband with some bad news. I decided to take her to the ER at the Hilton Head hospital yesterday morning. She was admitted in the afternoon and diagnosed with diabetic ketoacidosis. She is being given insulin and her sugar level has dropped significantly, but it is still somewhat elevated. Her spirits are good considering all she has been through. She is in the ICU in guarded condition. She will be moving into a regular room tomorrow, we think. The phone at the ICU is . Hospital main # . Thank you all for your support: Bob and Heidi

Guest guest
Dear Bob and Heidi, I do hope all is going okay. Thank you so much for letting us know Heidi is in the hospital. So many times we don't know. I will keep this short, but I know we would all appreciate knowing how Heidi is doing. She means so much to all of us and we miss her a lot. Tell her we have her (and you) in our prayers, Gail West, Midwest Regional Representative www.pancassociation.org gwest1955@...
