Guest guest
I will be starting LDN this weds 8/2/2006. I am so looking foward to it. I see good things in its usage. I've heard that sleeping is a problem and that you lose weight. Is any of that true? Does it just depend on the person? Either way I 'm going for it. Guest guest
sleeping issues are transient and is not necessarily a bad thing. cyndi On Jul 28, 2006, at 3:59 PM, michelline_stewart wrote: > Good for you for giving LDN a try!! Guest guest
Some of us have had a little 'insomnia' but it 'generally' goes away after a few days(for most), and as far as losing weight??? Some claim they have, sigh, me...naw...Just depends on the individual. Cap'n Caveman [low dose naltrexone] Starting LDN >I will be starting LDN this weds 8/2/2006. I am so looking foward to > it. Guest guest
http://www.larrygc.com/mystory is still my most up to date online information from my early days and my few misses. I was 135 when I started LDN 4/03, and 124 7 months later in 11/03, 127 a year later 11/04, and then down to 114 in 7/05. I was down to 108 in Mar/Apr this year.. and then quit smoking cigarettes 4/26 (now 3 months!).. gained 21 lbs, hit 129. I am now 122. Correlation to LDN? I dunno... but I'd say so. All I know is, LDN has given me a life back that I thought was over with my attack back in 2002. Welcome to all the new folk... I hope our LDN family tiffs end soon and we can get back on track. I just got back from 3 weeks of camping, out in the heat, the bugs, the rain, the elements and am heading out again next weekend, and again at the end of August. I don't think I'd be going on these trips if not for LDN. Good luck to us all [low dose naltrexone] Starting LDN>I will be starting LDN this weds 8/2/2006. I am so looking foward to> it. Guest guest
The only generally reported side effect of LDN is sleep difficulties for a couple of weeks which by no means all suffer. Many other side effects, loosing weight, gaining weight, moods swings and many others have been so rarely reported that is impossible to tell whether they are genuine but rare side effects or just incidences that would have occurred anyway. Guest guest
Good point. Yes, obtaining a US version of the LDN Conference DVD is a very worthwhile exercise - part of backfilling the knowledge gap. Thanks for adding that. Cyndi very kindly sent me a copy of the DVD. The Australian version (format) of the DVD still has menu selection issues, so we haven't yet been able to use it here. Cyndi's flat out but hoping to correct the formatting in the near future. Apart from the Penn State study into LDN and Crohn's, which scientific proceedings are you referring to? Off the top of my head I can't recall at the moment. I'm sure everyone here would benefit from the info.
