Guest guest Posted May 29, 2000 Report Share Posted May 29, 2000 Dear Ann, Sorry to leave everyone hanging...I did hear from my insurance company and they 'ran' Dr. R's letter by the nurse and she said that I would definitely have to go before the review board. That will take anywhere from 10 days to 6 weeks. If they disapprove me I will still fight and send a letter of appeal in to them. I am getting SOOO depressed because I have gained ANOTHER 10 pounds. My knees are so swollen as are my hands. I am going back to my PCP and see if she can put me on Fastin while I wait for this surgery. I woke up yesterday morning and was so thirsty. All my biological studies come back to me and I know this is one of the first signs of diabetes, and I DON'T WANT ANOTHER CO-MORBIDITY...(I have enough, thank you). Crossing my fingers that we both go through. I want this surgery not only for me but everyone on the list that would benefit from it. Take Care, Love, > Has anyone heard if got approved by Cigna?
