Guest guest
You are right that they charge for two surgeons. However, depending on how the bill gets coded and the type of surgery that is performed --- the insurance company approves two surgeons. There are guidelines as to the need for an additional surgeon for some cases. Keep fighting and even right a note to the insurance company --- or have the surgeon and your PCP write for the need to visit such an institution. Faith Response to Insurance/Jane Oh,, just a little more info here on the question of N.Y insurance. Initially when I consultated with Dr. Milorhat and Bolgones oficce they told me that they did accept my insurance at the time before I got there. I had Blue Cross / Blue Shield PPO High Risk Pool coverage. Then after I get home the insurance sends me pre-approved coverage letters for the surgery's.. But they say they are an out of network provider and will only cover that cost.. I think 40 or 60%.. They said right after Sept. they stopped accepting this type of insurance but not to worry,, they could work with me and I have no doubts that they will. is great and thank you Kathleen for giving me his email. My insurance paid all of the hospital bill which I think ran about 180,000 but some of the exray tech and anesthia guys have not still been paid. As far as it stand right now my bill for the doctor's is 28,000 left over that I am supposedly owe to them. So sure hope I get another blessing and can get that written off, cause I sure don't have that kind of money now. They do charge for two surgeons too. You will get two bills one for Dr. Milorhat and another for Dr. Bolognese. Just thought some of you would like to know because some insurance co only pay for one surgeon.
