Guest guest
Hello Every Body : I would like to say I have all of the group members who asked for prayer's " are on my prayer list. " I have a question, ..... Hmmmm .... I am just about two months post op and I am doing very good. " knock on wood " ... The only thing now is that .... My neck and up from my neck area .... hmmm say to the back of my head " Dura Region " . It is very sore. It feels weird. like it is not part of my scalp. Is this a normal feeling ? No, I am scratching the area or using strong shampoos or scrubbing my scalp. But, it sure feels like I do. Sometimes it is like I get an electric shock in my back of head. My parents " my care givers " Think that it is the " Dura Patch " stretching. Could that be ?? Hmmmm .. I had a 20 mm herniation and my scar is about six inches and a little. I had my C1 and C2 removed. Could someone please help me with this one ? I just hope it is not turning into an infection that's all. I don't have a temperature. I am nauseated lately .. But, I have been doing allot ..... Like shopping, cooking ...... which is not strenuous work. I have some one to help me with heavy shopping Haaa haaa I am " Lifting " LOL .... . I was told that my Dura Patch is that from " the lining of a cow's heart " ... I noticed there was a few posts on this. Could someone explain to me exactly during surgery when the Dura Patch is placed on your scalp, brain ... I know I should know this by now .... But, I don't. I did have a CSF leak ? That bubble, lump which is at your incision site after surgery. That is gone now. Exactly what is a CSF Leak ? I thought a CSF leak was after surgery when some of the spinal fluid leaked between your Dura patch and scalp. I was told it is normal . But, if it gets bigger and bigger it is a concern. " I know that " I am asking this because " I have read posts where Spinal fluid came out through their ears ??? Is that just an expression ? Or can it happen ? Ohhhh Yeah ... did anyone have this feeling ..... I would be lying in my bed or wherever and all of a sudden ... it felt like my whole neck, back was sooo wet, sometimes it feels like it from my head as well. I would get whoever ... to check and there wasn't even a drop of any kind of a body fluid there " dry as a bone " .... Could it be that I feel spinal fluid flowing? weird ??? I have read on all this and I thought I really knew it. But, could I have it In Laymen's terms please and I know there are many people in this group that can answer my questions when they have the time. I would greatly appreciate it. I apologize for all the questions. Thank you for your time. Take care and God bless ! Debra debyet@...
