Hi there,

My kids very seldom get sick but when they have a troat or ear

infection I always treat their infection with a tablespoon of honey

and few drops of lemon evey 4 hour, it works great for cough too.

Good luck

I don't mean to contradict anyone on this board; but I think this post needs

a little clarification. Honey doesn't actually " Cause " botulism. It contains

the spores that may develop into botulism in young children whose sytems are

not yet strong enough to process it properly. Just like baby aspirin does not

" cause " Reyes Syndrome " ..medical " experts " in recent years have cautioned

parents against the use of aspirin products and honey in very young children,

due to a potential link to the above-mentioned conditions. The point of the

post shouldn't be missed, though, especially with our kids, who are more

sensitive to things than most. My generation grew up on orange-flavored baby

aspirin and honey on bottle nipples and pacifiers and for the most part,

we're o.k. (depending upon whom you query--LOL). So, the precaution doesn't

mean " This WILL happen to you if you use aspirin or honey " but it may not be

worth the risk to some.
