Guest guest
Hi , We had a lot of trouble with an antibiotic a little over a year ago when treating strep. We gave what we thought was okay amoxicillan. We now believe we were given a generic substitute that contained gluten. You might check to see whether that's the case. We stopped treating ear infections a couple of years ago. Now we monitor them, taking the kids in to see the doctor to make sure they clear up, and treat them with Motrin. So far, they've all cleared up just fine on their own. Best, Snyder

He did OK on the same Rx in Oct, but it was a different pharmacy (we're away from home) so who knows what we got. We has had some serious rages (way beyond his worst tamtrums to date), including in the middle of the night last night, and this is a kid who has for months been very calm, few tantrums, very compliant-- all since we went GFCF, etc. I stopped the Amoxicillan and I am giving the garlic and mullien oil in the ears as recommended by Amber. I also got a homeopathic cold medicine and will continue the motrin. We have an appt. with a new Dr. who uses lots of hollistic treatments next week when we return home, so I will get his ears checked again then. Thanks for your help!!
