Guest guest
I just bought some gel caps at the health food store. I'm just curious about why gel caps are not used in the first place and if that reasoning would have any bearing on what I'd like to do...which is switch all of our enzymes out of the veggie caps and into gel caps. Is this okay to do? Luckily, the gel caps I found are larger than the veggie caps and I haven't had too much difficulty nor lost too much enzyme powder in making the switch. But it is tedious and time consuming. So one thing I thought of was...what if I open the veggie cap, place the larger portion of it, opened, inside the gel cap, instead of pouring off the enzymes. Then I would take the smaller portion of the veggie cap and pour the contents on top and seal with the top portion of the gel cap. My reasoning is that if the gel cap dissolves quickly once swallowed, then the enzymes in the opened veggie cap would be accessible. But my concern is that the veggie cap might seal itself over the enzymes as it dissolves before all of the enzymes could leak out. I have not seen any definitive results yet from using enzymes. My son's been extremely emotional so I'm hoping that's a good sign. We just started a little over a week ago and have only introduced Peptidase. So I'm reluctant to just try my idea above because if it's not effective, I'd have no way of knowing whether it's the enzymes itself that are ineffective or my method. Plus these enzymes cost too much to take chances of wasting them. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks and happy new year!
