Guest guest
Hi everyone, Another example of the non-communicative child not being of necessarily low IQ...Spencer got a Barney laptop computer from Santa for Christmas. It's just a little plastic, battery-operated thing that asks the kid to push the button to find various colors, shapes, animals, items, and numbers. Well, Spencer can't say " blue square " or " firetruck " , but he can very consistently push the button to find whatever Barney is asking for. I was amazed to find out how much he really knows. Oh, and he's not yet two and 1/2. So, for all of you who wonder about your child's capacity for understanding, don't sell him/her short. There really is more going on inside than they can tell us.
