Guest guest
I didn't see the article but your last statement I know to well. People don't even have to say it to me, you just know what they are thinking. I try real hard not to tell people if I am having a bad day because I'm so tired of that kind of mess. If people only knew just a little of what we go through on a good day it might make them really appreciate the fact that they don't have Chari. I wish you all a pain free Happy Easter. She " diagnosed " herself with the Chiari Malformation, which as the magazine stated, had pages of symptoms! I think the point was that we can make ourselves " think " we have all kinds of diseases. It was written humorously, but it just didn't come off that way to me. My aunt pointed it out to me and she thought it was funny. > > Normally I have a sense of humor about Chiari, but I guess it was too close to home, especially since hypochondria was implied. > > Suzanne Hill > >

Guest guest
I read this too, and boy it made me mad! I realize it was written from a humor standpoint, but it does nothing to help legitimize the situation of people who really have Chiari! Not Funny to Me! Guest guest
I not only read the article, because I didn't appreciate the comments linking us with hypochondriacs, I also wrote to the writer and the editor!!! I received an apology from her after writing a lengthy letter explaining how so many of us have been accused of that in the beginning and sometimes even later after our diagnosis's! I was very very upset and angry after reading it, and I thought the editor should know about it too!
