Would you believe MORE added to the bummer summer...

Well, fellow lupies, after a death in the family, a skull fracture of

my son, my mother in a bad car accident and a major hurricane.. the

bummer summer isn't over yet!

We bought my daughter an 04 Hyundai Tiberon sports car for her high

school graduation to take to University of Florida. She got it for

her Summa Cum Laude status and her 4.2 GPA all four years. We felt

she earned a nice car and let her pick out what she wanted. Well, she

called today and she got hit in Gainesville tonight! She is slightly

injured, but nothing big time. But the little silver Tiberon is a

mess! She was merging onto another road and the traffic had stopped

to let the line of mergers on. She hesitated and then went as they

were waiting for them to go. A girl sped around the stopped line and

plowed right into her on the driver's side. It missed crunching her

by feet, she said. She went to the ER and they called and told me she

is fine, just a little beat up. And she had her new roomate/sorority

sister with her! Thank God no one was hurt... but there goes the

little car. I can't believe it and neither can my husband.

I just give up on this year!!!! Sigh.
