Guest guest
I too have had episodes of severe chest pain, mostly on the right side. This has been going on for the last 3 years. My regular PCP thought it was pleurisy. I had a CXR, EKG etc and all was normal. Finally went to my neurologist (At East Carolina Neurology in Greenville NC) and was told the pain was R/T my syringomyelia. He seemed to think it was a result of the shoulder pain associated with Syringomyelia that was radiating to my chest. The pain is so intense sometimes it is hard to breathe good. I have had several episodes of this lasting anywhere from a couple of days to a week or more and the only thing I can do is rely on motrin or baclofen (a muscle relaxer) and pray it goes away soon. Thanks for listening Billie in NC
