Guest guest
I Know this is off topic but my son 8 yrs. old stopped wearing his glasses for strabismus and farsightedness about 2 years ago now after wearing them since 10 months old perfectly. I have been to two different opth. dr. and they think it is just sensory he doesn't like wearing them and is too low functioning to see the benift of wearting them. Anyone else experience this? Also my son has been doing very very well on peptizyded afp. But I still can't give him a variety of foods as I had hoped . Corn seems to upset him still yogurt also. Lastly, can you chelate with only ala? I saw somewhere that you could and not use dsma but not sure. I still think maybe that is what will really help my son start progressing. He is so low functioning not potty trained and has very little means for communicating. Has no skills to speak of, very oral. Cannot speak, can only shake his head yes. He does understand a lot of what you say to him though. thansk for any info

My son was dx as -2.5 myopic several years ago, and he never did like wearing his glasses. His dx is strange to me, because he can count individual birds flying high in the sky, even without glasses. Maybe your son just basically realized that he can see better without his glasses? > Also my son has been doing very very well on peptizyded afp. Whole kernal will still pass thru them undigested unless they chew it thoroughly, but no behavior or other problems. Yoghurt generally has additional ingredients which I don't think the Pep helps. There is culture, there is usually also fruit or something similar. Also, I found that No-Fenol is required for myself with phenol foods [like milk products], otherwise the other enzymes will digest the food okay but I still have phenol symptoms. > Lastly, can you chelate with only ala? This is what I do. Here is my son's chelation story, he also started out very low functioning. http://www.autismchannel.net/dana/myson.htm#chelation Dana
