Guest guest
Hi everyone! I had decompression surgery back in September and am now having a shunt put in on Monday the 27th of January. My MRI and CATscans looked relatively normal but after seeing my opthomologist and my symptoms again there is obviously a buildup of fluid/pressure. My opthomologist cannot believe that I have not started to lose any vision yet. My neurosurgeon wants to do this right away, so I will be having surgery on Monday. I have heard not to strain in any way if possible after surgery and to really monitor my type of headaches along with my position. I will be having the programmable shunt. Can anyone advise me of anything to expect or anticipate after this surgery? I appreciate your responses and look forward to chatting with you after my recovery. I am so very thankful for this great group of people! Thanks so much! Beth
