But it has. In the past week, I have had my second toe pull down into a painful spasm and hold there. It has only happened while I am sitting down in a chair with my feet up. I do get leg pains on that side sometimes, but nothing to worry about. Does anyone have any idea what may cause this? I do have heart problems so I am wondering if any of you have any info on if it could be related to circulation. Guest guest
hmmm that's interesting to me the part about the folic acid i'm on methotrexate - along with prednisone and i don't take folic acid my rheumy just never prescribed it for me in the beginning for some reason - and i wondered why, cuz i had friends take the meth that also had to take folic acid but i never said anything cuz that was one more pill i was gonna have to swallow and i was having trubble swallowing at the time he realized it later - and wanted me to start on it, but i talked him out of it , but now i'm wondering whether i should have - and whether heshould have pressed harder about it oh well - i go to a new rheumy in a week and i'll talk to him about it vicky I haven't had my feet do this, but me legs and neck do this when my potassium levels are low or when I need more folic acid. Guest guest
Hi Sunny, I do have spasms, also in my feet, but than in the whole foot, besides just cramps. Around these spasms, i can't keep my foot still. It's just like the foot moves out of it's own. The spasms in my feet, or mostly one of them, last for a few minutes until longer. It can return in these days. Since a long time it feels like my nerves in my toes are dead, as if the nerves had withdrawn. I can't stretch my toes anymore too. I'll see a rheumatologist in October, hopefully i know by tests if it's lupus or nor, i have. Last year a neurologist couldn't find anything wrong, not by nerve and muscle conduction studies and a brain MRI. I do have a lot of these " neurological " problems. Mostly i wonder off to a MS forum to get vailidation. So thanks for bringing this up. The worst are my hand spasms. Than i'm also cut off from the outside world: can't email. Also i have them in my upper-back increasingly. It's hard to breathe when i have them there. Afterwards i got a one-side stiff neck, which last for at least a half hour to lift. They hurt very badly. I will see if i can find any information on this on the Flemish Lupus sites or English ones, to see if i can find what causes spasms. I will post what i've found, hopefully find some valuable information. I suppose you searched on the board and 's site? Btw, I'm posting from the board and can't use spell-control. I hope it still sounds like English. micha. > Hi > After all these years, I didn't think a symptom could come along that > I had not had. But it has.
