Immune problems

Hi All,

Hope everyone is finding warmth on a cold day.

I would like to hear from anyone who is or has had problems with their

immune systems --- as to how they check this, what can be done, etc.

I'm beginning to think that Chiari has hit my immune system, and can't seem

to get over the problems.

Right before Christmas, I got a REALLY bad round of the flu. Thought I'd

gotten over it, but a couple of weeks later, the nausea and dizziness hits

again.

We bounce around the meds, thinking this is the cause, but end up back at

square one. Finally start feeling a little better, and Mon. I start back in

with the nausea and dizziness --- but I'm not sure if it's dizziness, or

" flopping " in my eyes.

At any rate, one of the grandkids was here over the weekend, coughing and

gagging --- now I'm back at it again. Just trying to figure this thing out,

and decide which path to take to figure it out.

Any ideas ?????

Wishing you Rainbows,

Grammy

Hi Grammy,

Yes, I do have a very compromised immune system. I have lungs infections

over and over again. I can't go off anti-biotics. It's *that* bad. I would

love to know if there's research or proof to back this up. Take good care.

Hi to All,

And " Thank You " for all of the responses.

It seems to be a " majority " that has problems with the immune system, and

it accompanying fatigue. Now, to find the solution LOL

I have always (up to within the last couple of years) been able to avoid

getting sick --- just never did it. Might get a cold, or bout of bronchitis

once through the winter months, but NEVER the flu. The last couple of years

have made a definite change for the worse, and this year is pulling the

" blue ribbon " LOL

But, if I have to make a choice --- grandkids or the flu ---- I'll take the

grandkids, and keep the bottle of Phenergan close by LOL

Those smiles, hugs and giggles are what keeps the spirit in this old goat,

and I'm not about to give that up for anything.

So, here's to the battle -- I'll be smiling the whole way down

Hi..Just thought that I wanted to add to this discussion, a bit...

I don't feel that I have an immune system problem. ( almost afraid to write

that as I will be immediately " struck down " )

I do feel that I require a bit more sleep than I used to, but if I adhere to

that I have pretty good energy.

I do get flu shots, yearly...I do take a GOOD multivitamin daily and try to

adhere to some of the other " good health practices " ...Green tea..good

nutrition...OJ..exercise...etc.,etc..not to mention the " all important "

glass of red wine

I do feel that it behooves up to do as much as possible to be proactive in

this way..probably more so than the " average " person...

Just my thought for the day

I DO wish it would warm up a bit...these single digits are brutal!
