Guest guest
Hello Everybody: Well, I am two months post op today. I am doing really good. I am so happy I had the surgery. It made such a positive change in my life so far. For the first two - three weeks .. I said to myself, " Why did I have surgery? " ... For those of you out there awaiting surgery. Do your research, stay positive and have a good support team behind you. The reason for my e-mail is this: Did you ever notice that you, your spouse, child, sister on and on .... Had a twitch, constant blinking, closing, very small, eyes. You will find this interesting. I have or had .. Hmm loooong story had a rare eye disorder called " Blepharospasms " , which is involuntary muscle twitching of one eye or both eyes at the same time. This can also lead to closure of both or one eye at the same time. Which you can become functionally blind. I had to get " Botox Injections " for this. I got them for at least eight years. I am hoping I will not need the botox anymore. It seems to be that the decompression surgery has helped me with my blepharospasms. I really would like to know if you have this or even the symptoms or if you know someone that does. " Blepharospasms and other related disorders such as Meige Syndrome and Hemifacial Spasm. This is very important to me. I would greatly appreciate it if you would e-mail me privately " Off List Please " at debyet@... You can view the web site on BEB ..at www.blepharospasm.ca Please e-mail me at debyet@... If you have these symptoms or have been diagnosed with these disorders. Thank you for your time. I look forward in getting your response. Take care and God bless ! Debra Atlantic Canada Decompression Surgery, April 3, 2003
