Guest guest
So, for all of you who wonder about your child's capacity for understanding, don't sell him/her short. There really is more going on inside than they can tell us. Amber very well said! from experience: was considered " retarded " (as mom put it) as a child, and " electively mute " ... didnt speak at all until age 4 or so, and then went totally mute again at the time of mine twin brothers death, at age 6 until arund age 8.... although didnt speak as a young child... knew that was reading things... can remember many days spent in the outhouse... (it was a place of going for a punishment for all those 'horrid'-autistic things that mine mind/body seemed to never be able to completely stop... in that outhouse, there were newspapers covering the walls... sometimes they put up new pages... always 'relished' being in there when that happened.. always wanted to read more of those strange places, people, and things that was never able to actually see in real life...would read those walls... around age 3 1/2... have a few other memories from that place/time and know that it was around that age, now that mom has confirmed it,.... ofcourse do not understand being that age in those memories... minna
