Guest guest
I thought of giving them my husband's name, just putting Dr in front of it (we have different last names), with our address, because they wanted to SHIP them to my Doctor. Unfortunately I thought of this after I told them to stake their thyroid S and shove it - I used another company and the order has gone through OK so far. So far. xing fingers. > > > > my doctors address / name. Guest guest
Does > anyone else get nervous about stuff like this? _________________________ Customs can sieze your order and they will send a letter asking you to provide a prescription in order to retreive it. I believe this is the worst that can happen to you on small oreders, less than 3 bottles. So, if you can't provide them a script, you loose your meds. In the old days, some pharmacies would resend one order that was confiscated. But, today, I don't think many do this. It's all becomming more difficult for everybody. The AIDs activists fought very hard to get legislation to be allowed to get small orders of medicines unavailable in the US. But, this whole thing seems to be a gay area. There seems to be legislation saying you can get small orders of medicines for personal use and other that says it can be confiscated if it is certain prescription contolled medicines. Currently, customs cannot keep up with all the individuals making small orders and they focus on the large ones that can be resold illegally here in the US. But, since huge amounts of money is being spent on medicines from foreign pharmacies, big pharma is working very hard to stop this trade. It is cutting into their profits big time. So, it will not get better in the future, especially with the Bush administration. I have seen posted only three instances of people having their medicines confiscated in the last 4 years. But, that does not mean that your number won't come up unlucky some day. Tish

Guest guest
Someone who used to be on this board has had their imports seized 3 times in the last 2 months. The Customs guy even told her just to reorder and take pot luck as to whether it would be seized again. They do seem to be seizing more and more though, but as he said there are hundreds of thousands of packages entering the US every day, they can't seize them all Lynda Re: Medicapharma/prescriptions? _________________________ I have seen posted only three instances of people having their medicines confiscated in the last 4 years. Guest guest
Hmm. I've ordered from England successfully, but not from a pharmacy with those initials. I'm glad it worked out for her.
