Hi Joe,

That helps clear things up – my biliruben isn’t that

high at this point. I do have a slight tinge, and I get dark circles under my

eyes.

That’s when my sister starts driving me crazy. Every time I

mention feeling the slightest bit off, or wince, she starts asking if it’s

my liver. Do I need to go to the hospital? Call us even if you get worse in the

middle of the night… etc. Good grief.

I keep telling her that if I’m in trouble, I’ll let

her know and to PLEASE quit watching me like a hawk. It’s gotten to the point

where I’m almost avoiding her unless I feel terrific. I know I’m

going to need her for weeks after my transplant – OK months. But I’ve

got my friends primed to come over and send her home for a while. I’m

going to need the break.

When my

biliruben was over 4, I had the slight yellow tinge. Anything above 8

and I became very yellow – resembled big bird.

Amen!

She is paranoid...but I don't want to be viewed as a

'disease'...I'm a human being with alot more going on

in my life than sickness...although that takes a big

bite!
