I researched this [also called Splenda] in December because my kids don't tolerate cane sugar, even with enzymes. This is basically non-absorbable cane sugar, so I decided to use fructose for baking instead. Here are " good " sites http://www.splenda.com/ http://www.sucralose.com/ http://www.eatright.org/adap0598.html Here are sites which say it is NOT good http://www.holisticmed.com/splenda/ http://www.mercola.com/2000/dec/3/sucralose_dangers.htm http://www.mercola.com/2001/jun/23/chlorine.htm http://www.trufax.org/research/f15.html I don't know why your friend is interested in this product, but you/she/he can look at these sites and determine whether it would be a good/bad product for your friend to consider. Guest guest
Sucralose (commercial name Splenda) is made by chlorinating sugar. Chlorine gas was used by Germans during WWI as a neurotoxic weapon. Read more about sucralose at: http://www.mercola.com/2000/dec/3/sucralose_dangers.htm http://www.holisticmed.com/splenda/ > Hi everyone, > > I know there was a thread a few weeks ago regarding artificial sweeteners > that I wasn't able to follow.
