Guest guest
Just throwing my two cents in here as well. I think the " discussion " you posted the link to was horrible but I guess it shouldn't surprise me since too many people go through life with their little " blinders " on and can't see what's really going on. While a SMALL part of me can understand that some folks, who don't know better yet, can see the disability before they see the child, I do not understand why, once they see past the disability and see Boone and the ABILITIES, why can't they just appreciate his gift of expression through art??? I just can't figure it out. Boone (or insert the names of any of our children) is not a disability - he's a person....with the same rights as any other person. If you and he want to allow others the pleasure of having his work in their own homes then I don't see a problem with that. I don't see any exploitation going on anywhere here. So a WTG to Boone for using his gift so well and a WTG to you for allowing him to!!! Love, prayers and heart hugs, Debbie (GA), Mom to Evan (4.5 y/o with ToF, RBBB, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asthma); (now a whole year old and HH and NT?); and my 3 angel babies whom I will finally see when God says it's time! 9:1-
