Curious how the body tricks us. The iliopsoas is known in some pt

circles as " the great pretender " , because injuries to the iliopsoas

quite ofter appear to be something else. It is so closely involved

with the hip that: For about two years before the diagnosis that got

me to investigate resurfacing, I was being treated for damage to the

iliopsoas. Nobody could figure out why that particular form of

therapy wasn't effective. Now we all know. But I certainly learned

more I ever hoped to know about the iliopsoas. In the same

neighborhood...the pyriformis.
